A mandoline slicer in a knife

A mandoline does things no knife can do? Not in my kitchen! It just take to flip over the knife to use the cutting guide as a mandoline board. That’s all! Set the desired thickness and proceed for a rapid slicing of fruits and vegetables (here, zucchini, but works with everything that is neither too hard nor too soft: carrots, cucumber, celery branches, beets, ginger, etc. the lot)! And no, it is not just a fancy gimmick. When you do not have a cutting board at hand, and do not want to risk scratching your plate, using your knife as a mandoline will come in handy.
